How to Set Up Child Support Payments

There are many benefits to setting up automatic child support payments. Setting up automatic withdrawal limits late payments and mail delays, which could harm you later as failure to pay child support could result in being held in contempt of court. To make it easier on a paying parent, the state of Missouri offers multiple ways to pay for child support. To make a child support payment you can choose from the following options:

The Missouri Family Support Payment Center (FSPC) Internet Payment Website allows you to authorize an automatic bank draft to satisfy child support obligations.

How to Set Up Automatic Child Support Payments

To sign up for automatic withdrawal, download, follow the instructions, and complete the Automatic Withdrawal Authorization. Be sure to include your bank’s routing number, account number, and a deposit slip or voided check with your authorization.

What Information Is Required to Set Up an Account to Make Automatic Payments?

If you want to register an account for yourself, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Name and address
  • Social Security number
  • Phone number
  • Case and/or Order Number and County of Order
  • Valid e-mail address
  • Bank information (bank name, routing number, account number, and type of account)

If you want to register an account and make a payment for someone else, such as your ex-spouse, you will need to provide the following information above for yourself and the person you are going to be making payments to.

Where Can I Find My Case/Order Number?

Your case number is located on your monthly billing statement. You can also get this number from your local child support office or the circuit clerk in the county that issued your child support order.

What Are My Payment Options?

You may schedule a non-recurring payment or recurring payments using one of the following options:

Weekly: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday

Every two weeks: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday

Semi-Monthly: Two payments per month based on the following schedule:

1st & 16th 6th & 21st 11th & 26th

2nd & 17th 7th & 22nd 12th & 27th

3rd &18th 8th & 23rd 13th & 28th

4th & 19th 9th & 24th 14th & 29th

5th & 20th 10th & 25th 15th & 30th

Monthly: 1st-31st

For shorter months with less than 30 days, semi-monthly and monthly payments will be taken out on the last day of the month.

What Day Will Funds be Taken Out of My Account?

The funds will be taken out on the scheduled payment date. If this date falls on a weekend or bank holiday, the funds will be withdrawn the next business day.
