Get to Know Rachel S. Gray

A St. Louis Lawyer with Unique Background & Over 15 Years Experience

Attorney Gray joined Kallen Law Firm, LLC, in April 2012 after over ten years of experience as a divorce attorney. She graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law in 2001 and was quickly admitted to the Bar as an attorney, joining the profession as one of the youngest attorneys in Missouri.

After eight years as a founding partner of her own firm, she spent a year as an associate with a seasoned domestic relations and family law firm before finding a perfect fit with Kallen Law Firm, LLC.

Attorney Gray’s background is unique. Her undergraduate degree was in Psychology from the University of Missouri - Columbia, so she has handled sensitive emotional issues. This educational background has been a tremendous asset to her in working as a divorce lawyer, as it has helped her to master conflict resolution, negotiation, and other useful skills that greatly benefit a divorce lawyer.

Compassionate Representation Based on Experience

While Attorney Gray understood from an academic perspective the emotional upheaval caused by a divorce, nothing could have prepared her for the impact of facing her own divorce. While it was a difficult time in her life, it has helped her empathize with her clients’ experience. Unfortunately, divorce and family law issues are the kind of thing that you cannot truly understand until you have been there.

As a divorce lawyer, her experience has helped her understand the needs and interests of clients in a way that is not grasped by reading about divorce in a law book. She understands how difficult it can be when you finally decide that your best option is a divorce and how challenging it can be to manage children, a career, and an ex-spouse.

Working for Positive Outcomes

Any good divorce lawyer will tell you that the best divorce is one that is not contentious, but that is sometimes easier said than done. We work with clients as a traditional litigating divorce lawyer or can help guide them through divorce mediation or collaborative divorce if that is a better choice for them. Whatever you choose, make sure you choose a lawyer who understands the ramifications of divorce and can help guide you through the entire process.
